FORMER World Champion Jelle Klaasen showed his class to win the WDF Dutch Open in Assen.
The Cobra produced a dominant display to beat Mark Barilli 3-0 in the final on Sunday.
It means that Klaasen follows in the oche footsteps of legendary Dutch winners Brian Femby (1980), Jilles Vermaat (1982), Raymond van Barneveld (2001, 2004 and 2006) and Richard Veenstra (2019).
Klaasen, 37, had not appeared in the singles event at the Dutch Open for a few years but could now compete after losing PDC tour card and is now participating in WDF events.
He had already reached the final of the Denmark Masters and with this latest success, Klaasen has now qualified for the 2023 WDF World Championship.
